Only 1 in 10 Adults in the US Eat Enough Fruits and Veggies!

Better nutrition means a better YOU

This month, let’s take a look 👀 at nutrition- an important component when it comes to building a solid foundation for healthy growing children and adult bodies.

If you're one of those parents, overwhelmed by all the information out there and wondering 'where do I start?'- you're not alone. If that sounds familiar, don’t worry because we stay committed to keeping our nutrition message simple – “just eat more plants!”

You are what you eat, after all. It’s why a balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits and vegetables makes us feel GOOD.

In fact, studies show that the benefits go as far as supporting cardiovascular health, healthy eyes and digestive health, and much more. Even eating fruits and vegetables such as apples, pears, and leafy vegetables can aid weight loss. Despite these many benefits, the CDC found that only 10% of Americans are eating enough fruits and vegetables.

Did you know that for over 20 years, more than 1.8 million families have participated in our Family Health Study and have shared that:

61% Were eating more fruits and veggies

71% Were eating less fast food and soft drinks

66% were visiting the doctor less

77% Were drinking more water 💦

How nutrition keeps us

physically and mentally healthy:

Food is fuel and consuming the right nutrients can give you long-lasting energy and improve your mood so you can perform everyday tasks at your best.

Dr. Tamlin Connor noted that on days when people ate more fruits and vegetables, they reported feeling calmer, happier and more energetic than they normally did.
