How Much Sugar Are You Eating In A Day?

Do you know how much sugar is recommended per day?

We humans evolved to handle only small amounts of sugar đŸ€” (about 15 grams per day, less than the amount in a 12-ounce soft drink).

Sugar is like fire đŸ”„ a source of energy but very dangerous beyond 15 grams of sugar per day đŸ”„đŸ˜łđŸ”„đŸ˜ł

A 2014 study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found a correlation between a high-sugar diet and a greater risk of heart disease-related death.

The study took place over 15 years, and discovered that people who got 17-21% of their calories from added sugar had a 38% higher risk of dying from heart disease than the participants who consumed just 8% of their calories as added sugar.

From there, the list of health threats just continue:

Alzheimer’s

Cancer

Cellular aging

Depression

Energy Loss

Fatty Liverï»ż

Wrinkles
